About Majhi

Majhi is a short single-player narrative game developed and published by CRISPPIE STUDIO OÜ, an indie studio registered in Estonia. It is distributed on Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Majhi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play the game and uninstall it from your device.

These terms apply to all players on all platforms. They sit alongside the terms of the store you obtained the game from. Those apply to you as well, and where a store's terms grant you stronger rights than these, the store's terms take precedence.

What Majhi Is

Majhi is a narrative game of roughly ten minutes in length, in which you ferry seven spirits across a river and decide what you believe happened to them. It is single-player, plays offline, and has no online features, multiplayer, chat, or user-generated content.

Steam

• A one-time paid purchase that includes the complete game
• No in-app purchases and no additional content behind a paywall
• Available for Windows and Linux

Google Play and Apple App Store

• Free to download, including the opening of the game
• A single optional in-app purchase unlocks the remainder of the story
• One-time purchase with permanent access. No subscription and no recurring charges
• The purchase is tied to your Google or Apple account and can be restored on your other devices through that account

Payments and Refunds

All payments are handled by the store you bought from. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds ourselves.

• Steam purchases are subject to Valve's refund policy
• Google Play purchases are subject to Google's refund policy
• App Store purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy

If you want a refund, please request it through the store you bought the game from. Consumer rights available to you under Estonian and EU law are not affected by these terms.

Licence to Play

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Majhi for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the game
• Copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, or transfer the game to others
• Extract, reuse, or redistribute the game's art, audio, writing, or code
• Modify the game or create derivative works from it
• Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notice or branding
• Circumvent the purchase that unlocks the full game on mobile

You are welcome to stream, record, and publish video of yourself playing Majhi, including on monetised channels. That permission covers gameplay footage only, and does not extend to redistributing the game itself or its assets.

Content and Age Rating

Majhi is a story about death. The characters describe how they died, including a poisoning, a stabbing, a fire, and the death of a child. None of these events are shown on screen and the game contains no blood, gore, or violent imagery, but the subject matter is consistently dark.

Please check the age rating displayed on the store page for your platform before buying or playing, and use your judgement about whether the game is suitable for you.

Your Save Data

Majhi stores your progress locally on your device.

• We cannot access, back up, or recover your save data
• Uninstalling the game may permanently delete your progress
• Device failures, resets, or updates may cause loss of save data

Because the game is short and linear, losing a save costs you very little — you can replay from the beginning at any time at no additional cost.

Disclaimers and Warranties

Majhi is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. In particular, we do not warrant that:

• The game will be free of errors, bugs, or interruptions
• The game will run on every device, driver, or operating system version
• Save data will be preserved
• The game will meet your specific expectations or requirements

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Estonian law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Majhi is limited to the amount you actually paid for the game.

Excluded damages

We are not liable for:

• Lost save data or lost progress
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind
• Device or software issues arising from installing or running the game
• Technical problems beyond our reasonable control

These limits do not affect your statutory consumer rights under Estonian or EU law, which remain fully available to you.

Intellectual Property

Our rights

• Majhi, including its story, characters, artwork, music, sound, code, and branding is owned by CRISPPIE STUDIO OÜ
• It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
• All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved

Your rights

• You own any video or written content you create about the game, subject to the streaming permission above

Updates and Changes

We may release updates that fix bugs, improve performance, or adjust content. We may also discontinue distribution of the game on a given platform, though any copy you have already bought remains yours to play under the terms of that store.

We may revise these terms for legal or business reasons. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the date below shows when it was last revised. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

Before raising a formal claim, please contact us. Most problems are quicker to solve directly.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
